Robotic Innovations for Hotels

Workshop »Robotic Innovations for Hotels«

Humanoid robots, service robots, cleaning robots, or kitchen robots—robots are driving the automation revolution forward. They vacuum, peel potatoes, and check guests in. Artificial intelligence (AI) is taking current developments to the next level.

Since 2008, the FutureHotel innovation network has been researching trends of high relevance to the hotel industry and translating them into concrete application scenarios. FutureHotel is currently preparing a study that examines the use of robots in the hotel industry. It will cover practical implications, current solutions, an outlook on future potential, and much more.

Would you like to be among the first to put these study results to use? Book this half-day workshop and get ready for the robotic future.

Part 1 | Introduction and Keynote Presentation

Gain comprehensive knowledge about the history, current state, and future potential of robot use in hotels in a crash course format. You’ll also get to meet our robots, Reachy and Robo Dog.

Part 2 | Interactive Session and Discussion

Work with your team to identify a robot use case tailored to your hotel’s specific needs. Evaluate the potential benefits for your business and your expectations for robot deployment. Receive expert guidance on asking the right questions and successfully implementing robotics for your business. Together, we’ll use a checklist and a set of questions to refine the desired robot use case. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have developed a plan for the next steps—including tasks, responsibilities, and timelines. At the same time, your team will be actively involved in the process, which strengthens their commitment to the planned project.

Part 3 | Optional Lab Visit

Be inspired at the Fraunhofer IAO’s Center for Virtual Engineering (ZVE) and experience future technologies up close. Discover innovative augmented, virtual, and extended reality applications, or immerse yourself in the world of applied neuroscience and neuroadaptive technologies at the Neurolab. Alternatively, the AI Studios offer insights into the application of artificial intelligence for small and medium-sized enterprises.

You can optionally extend your visit to the Fraunhofer IAO’s Center for Virtual Engineering (ZVE) in Stuttgart with a lab tour. Let this experience inspire you and get a firsthand look at the technologies of the future.

  • Immerse yourself in the world of applied neuroscience
  • and neuro-adaptive technologies at the Neurolab.
  • Gain insights into the application of artificial intelligence for small and medium-sized enterprises in our AI Studios.
  • Experience innovative augmented, virtual, and extended reality applications, for example, in the CAVE.
